Loving your new user icon, BDR!

It looks great! Slightly different in this piece than the designs of the movie packs, but I'm not complaining! Because it really looks great enough, and differences can be blamed on custom building or technological advancements since 1984. What year should I assume this takes place in? Because I'm assuming it's Japan sometime around 2009.

Oh, and I can't forget to say just how great the coloring and hair shine on this piece is. Your work seems to be very professional! So, were you taught shading and the hair and all that or did you self-teach yourself? I'm still trying to self-teach myself, so I'm not always certain whether what I'm doing is correct or not.

Also, thanks for the affiliate button! I was surprised! And flattered. Now I'm going to have to learn how to do that with the code so I can link back to you guys...

Reply BaldDumboRat, October 10th, 2009, 12:24 am

I'll send you a PM of how to do it ^^ Have to make an affiliate button first, so just a sec.

Also, thanks, I'm glad I got them to look nice this time XD
This story takes place in 1993.
I was mostly self taught, but I have gone to tutorials every once in a while. They are very helpful and once I get used to a technique I modify it to make it comfortable to my style. Deviantart is great for tutorials like that! Also, Conceptart is a good site to go for feedback and tips on things like that, lots of professionals are there, including some comic artists that give very great critique.

Reply CartoonistWill, October 10th, 2009, 12:39 am Really? We were introduced to that site in animation college, but I totally brushed over it.

Thanks! I was going to make an affiliate button, but I'm glad you're going to so that way it'll be exactly what you want. And thanks for showing me how to do that.

The year 1993 is a pretty exact year. There must be something special about that! I'll wait for the story to unfold to find out why. :-)

Your friend Zanoh doesn't talk much, does he? lol. That's understandable, though. If I did more working than talking I'd be further along in my own work!

Reply BaldDumboRat, October 10th, 2009, 12:46 am

He seems to be more of a script writer behind the scenes kind of guy XD I'm sure as he gets further excited by the whole thing he'll start talking more, lol.

Reply Zanoh, October 10th, 2009, 12:46 am

@CartoonistWIll Oh no no no. I do talk lol. I just am doing alot of things behind the scenes like getting the plots done, making sure BDR has her stuff and information from my head, organizing the chapters, etc etc etc.

1993 doesn't mean much really but showing the setting or time frame. A feeling of old school was what I wanted to give this comic.

I made sure we have an affiliate button as BDR requested me to make one as well lol.

Reply BaldDumboRat, October 10th, 2009, 12:59 am

... I seriously can't get over my icon XD Is that bad? X3 he seeeeees you allllll....

Oh yeah, dis is how I draw ghosties :3

Reply CartoonistWill, October 10th, 2009, 1:30 am

I love it. I hope to see your guys busting plenty of them in the coming stories!

Reply CartoonistWill, October 10th, 2009, 1:51 am

@Zanoh See? I was still right, you're working!

Anyway, there's no school like old school. It reaffirms my hopes and dreams in what you're doing here. lol

Reply Zanoh, October 10th, 2009, 6:44 am

Lol thanks, CartoonistWill. ^.^

That girl is damn hot!
This comic looks nice. Faved.

Reply GhostLord, August 11th, 2010, 11:42 am

I just read the entire prologue. This looks awesome. I look forward to when they actually get to busting ghosts. Is this comic set in the same universe as the movies?

Reply Zanoh, August 11th, 2010, 4:24 pm

@GhostLord I had thought about it at first, but I believed it would be better to be in a different universe. It does however take an ode to the movies in certain moments though. ^.^
